Awnings: Does my awning have a wind sensor in it?

    The safest assumption to make is no. Some automatic awnings are equipped with a wind sensor which automatically retracts the awning in a wind storm. The sensor is usually located inside one of the awning arms. It is a small 3-4 inch long chrome piece with wires coming out of it.
